Hana Holišová
She was born in Brno in 1980 to the family of conductor and accompanist Evžen Holiš and soloist Hana Horká. She studied at the Secondary Pedagogical School in Boskovice and afterwards completed her studies of drama acting at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Her professional debut was in the role of Kathy Selden in the musical Singing in the Rain at the National Theatre Brno, followed by the productions Divotvorný hrnec (Finian's rainbow) and Kristián, as well as at the NS in Bratislava - Hair (Jeanie), productions at Bolek Polívka's Theatre (Variace na chlast and Už troubějí). She has organized chanson evenings entitled "Zase pohoda" with the director D. Gombár and the composer D. Rotter. She has guested in Musicals from Broadway, Cabaret, Hair… at Brno City Theatre and she has taken part in several tours abroad.
At the Musical Theatre in Karlín, she played the role of Alena in the musical Noc na Karlštejně (A Night At Karlštejn) for which she was nominated for the Thalia Award in 2004.
At the end of 2005, she started a permanent engagement at Brno City Theatre. She has guested at the Theatre Pod Palmovkou (Sliby, chyby), and together with her sister M. Horká, sung with the B Side Band orchestra. She continues in guest roles at Bolek Polívka's Theatre and at the Musical Theatre Karlín, she plays the nurse Anna Pešková (Velmi křehké vztahy), and she also acted in Vladimíra Drha's film "Anglické jahody" (English Strawberries) (2008).
