The author of the libretto Dale Wasserman interprets the famous classical novel in the impressive way of “theatre in theatre”. The poet Cervantes - imprisoned in Sevilla and awaiting the verdict of The Holy Inquisition, performs supported by his fellow convicts a tragicomical story about a village yeoman who leaves his home in La Mancha for the world with the intention to remedy its injustices.
