He studied in the studio of Josef Svoboda at the University of Applied Arts of Prague. During ten years, he worked in the Department of Architecture in Brno; he also taught at the JAMU. He was a guest artist in many theatres in the country (The National Theatre of Prague, The National Theatre of Brno) and abroad. In 1988, he was awarded a prize by the Czech Literary Fund for the stage design of The Blue Pavilion by Hubač. More than twenty times he has worked together with the director Stanislav Moša. In the Brno City Theatre, he has created the stage design of such plays as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bastard, Manon Lescaut, Cyrano de Bergerac, Babylon and Koločava.
